Subscriptions
The Unlimited plan is a monthly recurring subscription at $19/month. It removes credit-based billing entirely — generate as many skills as you need.
How Unlimited Works
- ●No credit deduction — skill generations do not consume credits while your subscription is active
- ●Priority processing — your generation jobs are placed in a priority queue
- ●All features included — multi-source fusion, full validation, directory export, and CLI install
- ●Fair use cap — soft limit of 100 generations/month (see Pricing Plans)
Managing Your Subscription
Subscription management is handled through the Stripe Customer Portal. To access it:

Go to your Account page
Navigate to smdg.app/account

Click "Manage Subscription"
This opens the Stripe Customer Portal in a new tab.

Update payment, view invoices, or cancel
The portal allows you to update your payment method, view past invoices, and cancel or reactivate your subscription.
Cancellation
When you cancel your Unlimited subscription:
- ●Access continues until the end of your current billing period
- ●No prorated refund — you've already paid for the full month
- ●At period end, your account reverts to credit-based billing
- ●Any remaining credits in your balance become active again
- ●All existing skills remain in your library — nothing is deleted

Day 1: Subscribe to Unlimited ($19/mo)
Day 15: Cancel subscription
Day 15-30: Still have Unlimited access (paid through Day 30)
Day 31: Revert to credit-based billing
Remaining credits become activeTip
If you're unsure about cancelling, remember you can always resubscribe later. Your skills, settings, and credit balance are preserved.
Upgrading from Credits to Unlimited
If you're currently using credit packs and want to switch to Unlimited:
- ●Go to the Account page or Pricing page
- ●Click "Subscribe" on the Unlimited plan
- ●Complete the Stripe checkout
- ●Your subscription activates immediately
- ●Remaining credits are paused (not lost) — they'll be available if you cancel later
Payment Failures
If a recurring payment fails:
- ●Stripe retries the payment automatically over several days
- ●You receive an email notification about the failed payment
- ●Your subscription remains active during the retry period
- ●If all retries fail, the subscription is cancelled and you revert to credits
- ●Update your payment method in the Stripe Customer Portal to resolve
Note
Stripe typically retries failed payments 3 times over 7-10 days before cancelling the subscription. You'll receive email reminders at each retry attempt.
